The **Log Book** is the most commonly used report for claiming mileage reimbursement or for tax purposes. To download it, follow these steps:

1. **Log in** to your web account at [www.mycartracks.com](https://www.mycartracks.com).
2. In the left-hand menu, go to **Reports** and select **Log Book**.
3. At the top of the page, use the **Adjust filter** to specify the date range, vehicle(s), and other criteria. Once set, click **Show** to view the data.
4. Review the listed entries. If you need to make any changes, such as editing addresses, categories, notes, or odometer readings, click the **Edit** button above the table. After making your changes, click **Save**.
5. To download your report, click **Create Report**. A dialog will appear where you can customize the report header, description, and other display options.
6. If you want to include mileage reimbursement rates, enable the **Enable rates** option.

Set your custom mileage rate or select from available pre-defined country-specific rates.
7. Optionally, adjust the **Purpose** field to override individual track purposes in the report (useful for categorizing specific trips like charity drives at different rates).
8. Once all settings are configured, click the **Download PDF** button to export your report.

### Report Formats: PDF and Excel

MyCarTracks offers two types of report formats: **PDF** and **Excel**.

- The **PDF report** is ideal if you require reports from your employees, as it ensures the data remains unaltered and secure.
- The **Excel report** (available only when rates are disabled) allows for further editing, making it useful if you need to customize or clean up data, for example, by removing unnecessary columns.

### Tip: Driving Many Short Trips? Simplify the Report.

If you take multiple short journeys throughout the day, your report may become long and difficult to review. To make it more concise and easier to read, use the filters available under the **Adjust filter** button. At the bottom of the filter section, enable the following options:

- **Show daily tracks as one row** – This will combine all trips for a single day into a single summary line.
- **Simplify addresses** – This shortens address details to make the report cleaner.

These options help create a more streamlined and professional-looking report, especially for users with a high volume of daily trips.
