# How to switch recording mode – iOs (iPhone)

By default, MyCarTracks operates in **Automatic Recording Mode** , which detects when you are driving and records all journeys automatically. However, if you prefer to start recording manually, you can switch modes by following these steps:

1. Run the MyCarTracks app and swipe up the bottom panel.

2. Touch the **Disable recording** button. After that touch the **Automatic** button on the bottom. On every touch the mode changes (from Automatic to On Charger and then to Manual).

3. After you change to **Manual** don’t forget to touch the **START RECORDING** button or enable the switch in case of another Automatic mode.
