Sometimes your Android MyCarTracks app stops recording your drivings and even [changing the recording mode](https://community.mycartracks.com/t/my-app-doesn-t-record-any-drivings-android/311) doesn’t fix the issue. You can try to clear app data.

Follow these steps to Clear App Data:

Step 1: Open the **Settings** application on your device.

Step 2: Head Over to **Apps** Menu.

Step 3: Choose Installed Applications or See all apps.

Step 4: Find the **MyCarTracks** app.

Step 5: Select it, Move to the **Storage** tab or menu item.

Step 6: Hit **Clear Storage** / **Clear App Data**.

If clearing app data didn’t help **try to reinstall the app**.

If reinstallation didn’t work and the app still doesn’t record in any [other recording mode](https://community.mycartracks.com/t/my-app-doesn-t-record-any-drivings-android/311) then your GPS module or Android is probably broken. You can try to factory reset your device and if even this doesn’t work then you would probably have to change your Android.
